IF YOU CAN’T SHARE YOUR PHONE PASSWORD WITH YOUR PARTNER, THEN YOU SHOULD NOT BE MARRIED- SAYS PASTOR DOLAPO LAWAL

Pastor Dolapo Lawal has ignited widespread discussion with his strong stance on openness in relationships. In a message that quickly went viral, he insisted that couples must embrace full transparency, including sharing passwords, before committing to marriage.

He advised singles to test their partner’s openness by asking for unrestricted access to personal accounts: “If you want to marry somebody, ask them, ‘Can I know your password to everything that you have?’ If they say ‘no,’ leave them. Let them be going their own way.”

Lawal argued that any relationship lacking transparency cannot be considered a true marriage. He questioned the logic of physical vulnerability without emotional and financial openness: “Marriage where there is no transparency is not. So you can see my nakedness, but you are not open with me? That’s not marriage now.”

To support his position, he referenced Romans 8:32, highlighting divine generosity and openness as the model for true union. He added: “Do you know what it means for you to be naked before somebody? The way you came to this earth, somebody can see your nakedness, they can’t see your account balance?”

The pastor concluded by criticizing modern relationship ideologies, which he believes mislead couples by downplaying transparency.
