FRIENDS ARE BETRAYALS, MY BEST FRIEND SLEPT WITH MY HUSBAND WHILE I WAS PREGNANT – HEARTBROKEN WOMAN SHARES

I always believed my best friend was more like a sister to me. We had known each other for years, shared our deepest secrets and supported each other through difficult moments. When I got married, she became one of the people closest to my husband as well. I never had a reason to suspect her because I considered her family. When I became pregnant, she was one of the people who supported me the most.

During my pregnancy, my husband became increasingly busy, and I sometimes complained that he was spending too much time away from home. My best friend would always reassure me that I should focus on myself and the baby. She even visited me regularly and helped me with things around the house whenever I was tired. Looking back now, some of those visits feel completely different to me.

The truth came out through a message I accidentally saw on my husband’s phone. He had left his phone beside me while he went into the bathroom, and a notification appeared. I wasn’t deliberately checking his phone, but the message immediately caught my attention because it came from my best friend. What I saw made my heart drop. There were messages between them that made it clear they had crossed a serious boundary. I confronted my husband as soon as he returned. At first, he tried to convince me that I had misunderstood what I had seen. But after I showed him the messages, he could no longer deny it. He eventually admitted that he and my best friend had been involved behind my back, including during the period when I was pregnant.

I was completely broken. The person I expected to protect my marriage had betrayed me, and the woman I trusted with my most personal secrets had been involved with my husband behind my back. I kept thinking about all the times she had sat beside me, touched my stomach and spoken lovingly about my unborn child while hiding what she had done.

Since then, I have struggled to trust people the way I used to. I don’t know whether our marriage can survive such a betrayal, and I have ended my friendship with the woman I once considered my sister. What hurts most is knowing that I was completely unaware while the two people closest to me were keeping the biggest secret of my life.
