I HATE MY FIANCEE, HE GOT ME PREGNANT AND REFUSED TO MARRY ME – SHATTERED LADY SHARES

I honestly never imagined that the man I planned to spend the rest of my life with would become the reason I would cry almost every night. My fiancé and I had been together for three years, and throughout our relationship, he constantly assured me that marriage was our next step. When I became pregnant, I was initially scared, but I believed the news would bring us even closer because we had already discussed having children after marriage.

Unfortunately, everything changed after I told him about the pregnancy. Instead of being excited, he became distant. He started avoiding my calls and would sometimes go for days without checking on me. When I finally confronted him and asked when he intended to speak to our families about the pregnancy and our wedding plans, he shocked me by saying he was no longer sure he wanted to marry me.

I was completely devastated. I reminded him of all the promises he had made to me and the plans we had made together. He told me that he never expected things to happen this way and that he needed time to think. What hurt me most was that he seemed to be blaming me for becoming pregnant, even though we had both been involved in the relationship.

I eventually told my family what was happening. My mother was heartbroken when she heard that the man I was engaged to had suddenly changed his mind. She encouraged me not to beg someone to marry me simply because I was carrying his child. Her words gave me some strength, but I still struggled emotionally because I had genuinely loved this man and trusted his promises.

Months have passed, and he still refuses to make a commitment. He occasionally asks about the pregnancy, but he avoids every conversation about marriage. I have stopped chasing him because I have realized that I cannot force someone to choose me. I am still hurt, but I am trying to focus on myself and prepare for the arrival of my child.

Looking back, I now understand that promises are not the same thing as commitment. I wish I had paid more attention to his actions instead of believing every beautiful thing he told me. I don’t know what the future holds, but I know I deserve to be treated with honesty and respect, and I will not allow this experience to destroy the rest of my life.
