WOMEN ARE NOT INVESTMENTS, THEY ARE A WASTE OF MONEY – MAN SHARES BOLD TAKE ON WOMEN
I am not saying women are useless or that men should never spend money on women. I am saying this because of a very painful experience that changed the way I look at relationships completely.
A few years ago, I was deeply in love with a woman. At least, I thought I was. I wanted to make her happy, and somehow, I convinced myself that the more money I spent on her, the more she would see how much I loved her. That was my biggest mistake. I paid bills that were not my responsibility. I bought expensive gifts even when I could barely afford them. I took loans just to maintain a lifestyle that impressed her. There were times I was struggling financially, but I would still find money for her because I didn’t want her to think I was failing as a man. I remember buying her an expensive phone while my own rent was due. I remember borrowing money to take her out because I wanted everything to look perfect. I remember sending her money when I had almost nothing left in my account. And every time I did these things, I told myself the same thing: She will appreciate me. She will see everything I am sacrificing for her. She will stay. But I was wrong. The day that relationship ended, I felt like a fool. Not because she left me. She had every right to leave if she no longer wanted the relationship. What broke me was realizing that I had destroyed myself financially trying to prove my worth to someone who never asked me to do all those things in the first place.
I had turned love into a financial project. I was spending money I didn’t have, making sacrifices that were hurting me and expecting those sacrifices to somehow guarantee love and loyalty. They didn’t. That experience taught me something painful: you cannot buy someone’s heart. You can spend millions on a woman today, and she can still wake up tomorrow and decide she doesn’t want to be with you anymore. And honestly, that doesn’t automatically make her a bad person. The problem is when men start believing that spending money on a woman means they have invested in her and are now entitled to a return. Love doesn’t work like that. You cannot buy gifts and expect loyalty as a reward. You cannot pay someone’s bills and expect them to marry you. You cannot finance someone’s lifestyle and then become angry because the relationship doesn’t work out. That was the trap I fell into. So today, when I say women are not investments, I mean it. Stop treating relationships like business transactions. Support your partner when you can. Buy gifts. Take them out. Help them when they genuinely need help. But don’t destroy your life trying to maintain someone else’s.
Don’t go into debt to impress a woman.Don’t neglect your own responsibilities because you are busy funding someone else’s lifestyle.
And most importantly, don’t believe that the amount of money you spend determines how much someone should love you. My bad experience taught me that love should add to your life, not completely drain it.
If you have to keep spending beyond your capacity just to keep someone interested, then maybe what you have is not love.
Women are not investments.People are people, and relationships should be built on genuine love, respect, effort and mutual responsibility — not on who can spend the most money. Because at the end of the day, love should not leave you broke, depressed and wondering where all your money went.
