Olamide Baddo, a famous musician from Nigeria, was born on March 15, 1989, in Bariga, Lagos State. His real name is Olamide Adedeji. Growing up was not easy for Olamide, but his love for music always guided him.

Before his success, Olamide said: “I hardly got invited to perform at shows. When invited, I was rarely respected because of my background. Sometimes, I had to walk from my house to the venue of the show and back because it was obvious I wouldn’t get paid.”

Being in a season where entertainers are reaping the fruit of their labour big time through endorsements, it is a good thing that the young lad’s efforts finally paid off.

Olamide started his music journey when he was young. He faced many challenges while trying to make it in the Nigerian music scene. In 2011, he released his first album, “Rapsodi,” and that’s when people started noticing him.

What makes Olamide special is his way of singing. He mixes Yoruba language with street-style lyrics, and people really like it. Songs like “Eni Duro” and “Durosoke” made him famous and got everyone’s attention.

At first, some people didn’t believe in Olamide’s talent, but he kept going. They started calling him “Baddo” because he’s really good at what he does.

Over the years, he made many albums and worked with different artists, helping Nigerian music become famous around the world.

But Olamide doesn’t just focus his attention on music alone. He cares about his community. He helps young people by supporting education and talent programs.
