MY SISTER THINKS I AM THE REASON SHE HAS GOTTEN DIVORCED EIGHT TIMES.” SHATTERED LADY SHARES HER STORY.

An anonymous lady has shared her story with us and asked us to tell it because her relationship with her sister has completely fallen apart. “My sister no longer speaks to me the way she used to. She believes I am the reason she has gotten divorced eight times.

What hurts me the most is that I have never wanted any of her marriages to fail. Before most of her marriages, I would notice things about the men she wanted to marry and advise her to be careful. Sometimes, I would tell her directly that I didn’t think the man was right for her.

She would get angry and accuse me of being jealous. There was one man in particular I strongly advised her against. I noticed how controlling he was and how he spoke to her whenever they had disagreements.

I told her, ‘Please, think about this marriage carefully. I don’t like the way this man treats you.’ She ignored me and went ahead with the marriage. A few months later, she started calling me to complain that her husband was beating her and treating her badly.

I reminded her that I had warned her, but I never blamed her for marrying him. I simply wanted her to be safe.

Unfortunately, the marriage eventually ended. But instead of seeing my warning as something I had said because I was concerned about her, she became convinced that my words had caused the marriage to fail. She told me I was always saying bad things about her relationships and that whatever I said before her marriages eventually came to pass.

As the years went by, the same thing happened with other men. Before she got married, I would advise her when I noticed something concerning. She would get married anyway, the relationship would eventually become unhealthy, and then she would come back saying I had spoken against the marriage.

After her eighth divorce, she finally told me something that broke my heart. She said I was the evil spirit behind her marriages and that I should stop saying bad things about her relationships. I couldn’t believe what I was hearing.

How can I be responsible for eight different men and eight different marriages? I have never wished her divorce. I have only told her what I genuinely saw and advised her when I felt something was wrong.

Now, she sees me as the enemy. And honestly, I don’t know how to convince my own sister that I was never trying to destroy her marriages. I was only trying to protect her.”
