A Nigerian man has narrated the painful experience he allegedly went through after his wife and children relocated to Canada ahead of him, only for him to arrive later and discover that he could no longer reach his family.

According to the man, the decision to move to Canada was something he and his wife had planned together. His wife and children travelled ahead of him while he remained in Nigeria because he had to complete an audit at the bank where he worked. He said the situation prevented him from travelling with them immediately.

He explained that he eventually resigned from his banking job when his permanent residency came through. However, by the time he was ready to join his family, things had reportedly changed. He said his wife had already arrived in Canada with their children and subsequently blocked him from contacting her.

The man said the situation left him confused and heartbroken because he did not know where his wife and children were staying. He reportedly tried to reach her but could not get through, and she allegedly did not provide him with the address of their new residence.

Despite everything, he eventually travelled to Canada in November 2014, hoping that he would be able to reunite with his family after getting there. However, instead of the joyful reunion he had expected, he said he found himself stranded at the airport because he had no way of locating his wife and children.

Looking back on the experience, the man said the situation was extremely painful for him, especially because he had expected to join the family after making sacrifices to ensure their relocation. His story has sparked reactions from people who are questioning what could have happened between the couple before and after the family moved to Canada.
