MERCY EKE OPENS UP ON WHY SHE UNDERWENT COSMETIC SURGERY, SAYS RECOVERY WAS THE MOST PAINFUL EXPERIENCE OF HER LIFE
Reality TV star has opened up about her decision to undergo cosmetic surgery, revealing that the recovery process was far more painful than she ever imagined.
Speaking candidly about the procedure, Mercy explained that her decision was influenced by the trend at the time and the fact that many people around her were embracing cosmetic enhancements.
According to her, she already had a good physique before the surgery but felt her stomach area could be improved.
“At first, it was the trend at the time. I think around 2018, everyone was doing it. It was probably peer pressure. I actually had a very good form. My body was not that bad. I was slim and had a beautiful shape, but maybe the stomach was a little bit too much,” she said.
Mercy disclosed that she kept her plans away from her family because she did not want anyone to discourage her. Instead, she and two of her friends planned the procedure together and underwent the surgery on the same day.
Describing the aftermath, the reality star said the recovery was extremely painful, especially the body massages required after the operation to help drain fluids and aid healing.
She explained that patients are unable to sleep on their buttocks for about two weeks and must lie on their stomachs throughout the recovery period. She also recalled waking up in severe pain after the surgery and crying for three days.
“The nurses have to massage your body to bring out the water and everything. When you wake up from surgery, of course it’s painful. You cry for three days,” she said.
Despite the difficult recovery process, Mercy maintained that she has no regrets about undergoing the procedure, describing it as “worth it.”
Her revelation has since sparked conversations on social media, with many people sharing mixed opinions about cosmetic surgery, body enhancement procedures, and the realities of the recovery process.
