A Nigerian lady has sparked conversations online after opening up about her dating experiences, revealing that she has been single for four years despite receiving attention from men.

Speaking about her experience, the young woman said that while men still approach her, the majority of those showing interest are either married or significantly older, a trend she found both surprising and frustrating.

According to her, she initially wondered if something was wrong with her and even sought spiritual intervention through prayers before eventually concluding that she wasn’t the problem.

Reflecting on the situation, she argued that the country’s economic challenges have significantly affected how many men approach relationships.

She claimed that many young men are no longer interested in building committed relationships, explaining that some now prefer casual arrangements or relationships driven by financial benefits rather than genuine commitment.

The lady also humorously described some men as having become “Agege”—a slang expression she used to suggest that they may appear decent on the outside but are not serious about commitment.

“The economy is really messing people up,” she said, adding that it now takes “the grace of God” to find a genuinely good and committed man.
