A woman has shared how a family Christmas celebration turned into a heated confrontation after her UK-based aunt publicly exposed a cousin she had allegedly been supporting financially for years.

According to the lady, her aunt travelled from the United Kingdom to Nigeria for Christmas last December and, in a generous gesture, gifted every adult member of the family ₦100,000 each.

While everyone appreciated the gift, one of her cousins reportedly accepted the money, thanked the aunt, and quietly left.

However, just two days later, he returned with another request. This time, he allegedly asked his aunt for an additional ₦800,000, claiming he needed the money to start a business.

The aunt declined the request, explaining that she could not provide the amount he was asking for.

Rather than accepting her decision, the cousin allegedly took to the family’s WhatsApp group that same night, where he posted a message that appeared to criticize her generosity.

According to the story, he wrote:

Rather than expressing gratitude after being exposed, the cousin allegedly fired back with another comment that surprised everyone in the group.
