Oworoshoki area of Lagos state is fast growing in population as it happens to be the closest to the Island through the Third Mainland Bridge therefore attracting the working class and early starters.
Moreover, the area as log being under the shackles of cultism, rioting and hooliganism. The crown of it is always experienced during festive seasons like Easter, Christmas and New Year. During this period, young boys who have found solace in hooliganism and stealing take to the streets at night and early hours of the morning to snatch phones and bags at knife point.
The Nigerian Police Force in the area being alerted of these activities had frequently raided the streets and corners, fortunately apprehending some of the culprits but apparently unable to seize them all.
Some of the residents of the area shared their story with ‘Knowefritin Nigeria’, explaining how this little boys stabbed their Land-Lord on the head and still took his phones. Another source reported how he was beaten and wounded all because he refused releasing his phone and wallet. This has left residents in fear and panic this festive season.
