Strange Christmas in Lagos 2018

Xmas was always a time to rest, have fun, eat, drink and travel. Who else observed that this year’s Xmas was different.

Maybe you didn’t, but many did. Naturally we have an aura in the air from November, fireworks in the air from 1st December and lots more but this year I walked through the street of Lagos and heard nothing nor see anything in the sky. The only difference is when you enter the Island and see decorations on buildings and few thins, aside this I see nothing else. I wonder what this means.

All fingers point to the economic state in the country, people who are trying to feed their families would likely have no chance to buy fireworks or “banger”. So pathetic.

We hope 2019 Xmas would be better. You know what I mean don’t you #Winks.
