400,000 MILLION NAIRA CAN’T MAKE ME RETURN TO NIGERIA- NIGERIAN WOMAN REVEALS THE PAINFUL REASON WHY

When people hear that I live in the UK, they assume I left Nigeria because I wanted to make more money.

The truth is, I didn’t.

During a recent street interview, I was asked a question:

“If someone offered you £200,000 to return to Nigeria permanently and never come back to the UK, would you take it?”

My answer was simple.

“Never. And ever. And ever.”

The interviewer reminded me that £200,000 is worth hundreds of millions of naira, but that didn’t change anything for me.

Money isn’t the reason I left Nigeria, and money certainly isn’t enough to make me go back.

I lost two children in Nigeria due to what I believe was medical negligence. It happened back-to-back within two years.

That kind of pain changes you.

Whenever I tell doctors here in the UK what happened, they look at me in disbelief. They struggle to understand how such incidents could happen the way they did.

I know no healthcare system is perfect, and I know unfortunate cases happen everywhere. But from my experience, I believe the chances are much lower here.

So when people ask if any amount of money can make me return permanently, my answer remains the same.

No amount of money can erase what I went through.
