A distraught woman has shared how someone she trusted completely betrayed her after collecting her life savings under the promise of helping her process a visa.

Narrating her painful experience, she explained how what started as hope for a better future turned into a nightmare that left her emotionally and financially broken.

She shared her story below:

I don’t even know where to start from.

All I wanted was a better life.

I had plans to travel abroad, so I started saving little by little. It wasn’t easy, but I stayed focused because I believed it would all be worth it in the end.

That was when I met her.

She presented herself as someone who could help with visa processing. She sounded confident and experienced, and she even showed me proof of people she had supposedly helped before.

I trusted her.

At that point, I was desperate to make things work, and she seemed like the right person to guide me through the process.

She told me everything I needed and how much it would cost. It was a lot of money, my entire life savings, but I was ready to take the risk because I believed it was for my future.

I gave her everything.

Every single naira I had worked for.

After I made the payment, she kept reassuring me that everything was in progress. She would update me from time to time, telling me to be patient.

At first, I didn’t suspect anything.

But after a while, things started to change.

She became less responsive. Her replies became slower, and sometimes she wouldn’t respond at all.

I kept calling and sending messages, but she kept giving excuses.
