I think my mom is catching feelings for my boyfriend. I know it sounds crazy, but I’ve been noticing things.

Anytime my boyfriend comes around, my mom changes instantly. She becomes overly excited. She laughs at everything he says, even when it’s not that funny. But the part that really scares me is how she sometimes licks her lips while looking at him. The first time I noticed it, I thought maybe I was imagining things. But it has happened more than once, and now it’s hard to ignore.

It’s gotten to the point where I am scared of bringing my boyfriend home because I don’t know how she will act. Instead of feeling comfortable in my own house, I find myself watching my mom closely, wondering what she might do next. It feels like I am competing for attention with my own mother.

This whole situation has left me confused. On one hand, I love my mom and respect her. On the other hand, it is hard to believe that her behavior towards my boyfriend is not normal. I don’t know whether to confront her, talk to my boyfriend about it, or just keep quiet and hope I’m wrong.

Right now, I just feel stuck. Am I overthinking things, or is my suspicion real? What should I even do in a situation like this ?
