I Had Fame But No Money —Eva Alordiah’s Shocking Confession

People thought I was living the dream I was dying inside. Eva Alordiah wasn’t just another face in Nigerian hip-hop; she was the name people whispered when talking about the next queen of rap.

But behind the glossy music videos and award-night smiles, Eva was spiraling into a life she describes as “fame without money, success without peace.”
In her own words, she was living check to check, pouring every naira she earned straight back into music ,rent, studio bills, promotion. The truth? “I didn’t know anything about money, and I was broke,” she admitted.

The breaking point came when depression hit. Not the kind you “shake off,” but a deep, dark depression that made her question why she was even alive. “I gave up my dream of being the greatest female rapper in Africa because I was dying daily,” she revealed.

Ironically, her wake-up call came from a book she’d read at 16 Rich Dad, Poor Dad. She finally understood she had to stop chasing a crown that wasn’t paying the bills and start building something that would outlive her rap career.

Eva stepped away from music, co-founded a software company, and began teaching others how to turn their skills into income. It was a complete transformation from chasing applause to chasing freedom.

Today, she still records music, but only when she wants to not because she has to. Her mission now? Helping other creators avoid the trap she fell into: being famous, but broke and broken.
