Musical Sensation born Patrick Nnaemeka Okorie, is a Nigerian Afrobeats and reggae–dancehallsinger and songwriter. Born and raised in Ebute Metta community of Lagos, he grew up sharing one room with his parents and five siblings.

The Singer recounted on his experiences as a young artist , this led him to narrate his journey through music . He said that girls liked boys who could sing during his school days .

He admitted that it made one gain a lot of tractions with the ladies and one of the reasons he did it at that time was to gain in on those attention given to boys who could sing .

Patoranking is one of the most popular artistes in Nigeria, the Lagos-born singer came to the limelight in 2014 with the popular song, Girlie O. His modest upbringing and close relationship with his family instilled a drive and determination to create a better future, and led him to music.

Another motivation that the artist revealed in an interview with MTV base that growing up in the slums, opportunities were scarce. It felt like there were only two paths: a life of crime or a life of struggle. I refused to accept either. Instead, I chose music, pouring my heart and soul into every note and lyric. It wasn’t easy, but it was my way out, and thankfully, it has worked for me.

He further explains the hardship he went through just to get to where he is and also admitted to the fact that music actually saved him . Growing up in the community of Lagos , he faced a lot of challenges regarding his career path .

The artist noted a myriad of things that ultimately motivated him to do music and with two most prominent ones being the attention he got from ladies as well as the hardship he faced while growing up .
