I Am Confused , My Brother in Law impregnated my house help but My Husband is Treating that Child Better Than His Own- Confused Mother shares .

 

It Happened that, Last year, my house help got pregnant, I asked the girl who was responsible. it took about a week before she said it was my husband’s younger brother, who lives with us, that impregnated her.

Since my husband’s brother is still learning a trade, & doesn’t make much, he sometimes comes back with 500 naira a day. So hubby decided to help out, he gave her money to register at the hospital. After 2months, my husband advised that the girl should be taken to their mom (my husband’s mom) in the village until she delivers.

My husband bought things for her & gave her money for transport & also feeding. Meanwhile, my husband’s brother is still with us here in the city; he didn’t go to the village.

One week later, my mother-in-law called to say that the feeding money given to the girl had finished. My husband sent her 20k naira the next day.

Since then, it has been constant billing every week, my husband has been sending money to her steadily. To cut a long story short, she delivered a baby boy earlier this year, & my husband bought baby things for her & even went for the naming ceremony in the village. He was gorgeously dressed, as if he was the chief celebrant, while his younger brother, who is the baby’s father, was scantily dressed.

Last week, my husband sent money to the girl & her baby boy to buy new clothes, meanwhile, he has not bought any for me nor our 3 lovely daughters (note that we have no male child yet).

That aside, I noticed that since she gave birth, my husband has been going to the village regularly, sometimes up to 3 times a month, & usually sleeps over on each visit, saying he went to see his aged mom.
The latest issuf now is that my husband is saying she wants to bring the girl & her baby back to our house next month to live with us. But I refused & said no, insisting all the things he has done for them is enough, & that he should send the girl back to her family, that I don’t need her services anymore.

As things are now, I don’t know if the girl is using ch’ams on my husband or something, cuz i don’t understand why my own husband has chosen to carry my former house help & her son on his head. Please, if it is ch’arm, how do I break it? I really do need advice on how to handle this issue. Thanks”
