My name is Kosisochukwu, and my father was a renowned entrepreneur who owned a very big investment and finance company in the heart of Lagos.

We grew up so rich and wealthy before the passing on of our father.

Before his death, my father had mandated my mum to be a housewife and paid her monthly allowance of 300k then.

This made us always dependent on our dad, who saw the whole 5 of us through the university.

My dad was so strict and secretive to both mum and us, so we didn’t know he was facing some challenges at work. His challenges made him borrow a whooping sum of 20million Naira using the company, our house and some landed properties as collateral.

His passing away was due to a high blood pressure resulted from overthinking, which got us to this miserable state we are now.

As the first child of the family, I succeeded my father as the CEO of the company.

Until last year, a man barged into my office threatening to burn the office and our house down if we don’t pay his money.

To cut the story short, he brought up a criteria to pay the loan, which entails marrying him.

I didn’t have interest in him but when I saw how he started bullying my siblings using thugs, I married him just to save my family from shame and embarrassment.

Everyday with him feels like h¥ll. At any slightest mistake, he tortures and threatens to sell my late dad’s company and our family house.

I cry every now and then and don’t think I can continue in this trauma.

Should I quit and go back to the trenches with my family, or should I continue living with the old man?
