I met my friends ever since our high school days and I always considered them more like siblings rather than just friends. It is like we basically grew up together from that point of our lives . Our high school days were amazing because we had a lot of fun and we were young and carefree .

But the problem started when we entered college, I started seeing some signs that they were getting sucked into college life . They started going for parties and following boys who definitely did not have their best interest at heart . They also started trying following different sets of crews that were recognised to be bad gangs in the school .

This really got me worried and I confronted them about it but it seemed like they thought I turned into the no-fun friend so I let them be for the time being .

Not until very recently when one of them confronted me about a guy that they claimed liked me and honestly I did not feel the same way , so I expected them to understand and relay the message to the guy as well .

But that only infuriated them because they kept pestering me about him all the time and I kept telling them that I was not interested but I started seeing this guy constantly in most of the places I was , at first I thought it was just purely coincidental but I later realized that it was quite odd.

So one day, one of my friend requested that I escort her to the market but she had to pick up something somewhere first , the thought didn’t cross my mind to ask her where we were going to so I just followed , not knowing she would take me to this guy’s place and made him lock all the doors . He made several attempts to have his way with me but I swerved my way out of his grasp , unlocked the door and ran away .

I am sharing my story here so that people can learn from my mistakes, please do not follow your friends blindly , they can lead to your downfall and also this is a reminder to always be prayerful .
