I never thought my life would turn into this kind of story. If anyone had told me years ago that i would have to sleep with another man, I would have slapped them in the faced. But life is unpredictable and desperation can push you into corners you never imagine.

Some months ago, my husband fell very ill. The doctors said he needed urgent surgery, and the cost was a lot. We had already spent every we had on tests and treatment. I borrowed from friends, begged from families, even tried getting loans, but nothing was enough.

Each day i watched the man i love grow weaker broke me even more. Out of options , i went to my boss, i explained how critical everything was after listening to me he agreed to give me the money but only if i spend the night with him. I begged him that i was a married woman but he didn’t listen to me, he told me that i either took his terms or leave it.

My husbands life was at stake and i didn’t have a choice, i had to agree to his terms, in which he gave me the money has promised. I paid for my husband’s surgery and he survived.

After he recovered from the surgery, he confronted me and asked me where i got the money to pay for his surgery because he knew i didn’t have that amount of money and i lied but he knew i was lying and he told me if i didn’t tell him the truth he was gonna leave me, i had to open up to him but his reaction shocked me, he pulled his hand away from me and said “so you sold yourself? and you called that love? I’d rather have died than living knowing you slept with another man.”

Those words shattered me, because i loved him to much to have lost him. now he thinks i am a cheat, he does not even talk to me again, i wonder – should have have left him to die when i could have saved him? was i wrong for sacrificing my body to save him?
