Early last year, my husband abandoned me and our three daughters to go live with his girlfriend, a secondary school teacher who is also a single mother of a 4-year-old boy. We had been married for almost six years, but from the moment I gave birth to our first child an albino my husband changed completely.

Instead of showing love, he began to resent me. He blamed me every single day for giving birth to albino children, insisting that in his family, no one had ever given birth to an albino. But one of his younger cousins, who is close to me, told me the truth: their great-great-grandfather was an albino. Still, my husband refused to accept it.
By the time I delivered our third daughter also an albino he abandoned me at the hospital and refused to pay the bills. My family had to step in and rescue me. They begged me not to return to him, but because I still loved him, I went back.

Life became even harder. He stopped me from working despite being a graduate, so I had to depend on him for everything. While running my tomato business, I met a bachelor who became one of my regular customers. Over time, he asked me out. I refused at first, still clinging to hope that my husband would return, but when it became clear he never would, I gave this new man a chance. He turned out to be very loving and caring, and later I became pregnant for him.
Around the same time, I discovered that my husband’s girlfriend was also pregnant. She gave birth to an albino baby girl, while I later gave birth to a healthy baby boy without albinism. The day I delivered my son, I cried so much, remembering all the insults and pain my husband caused me for giving birth to “only albino children.”

When my husband heard of my delivery, he stormed the hospital, causing chaos and insisting that my baby boy was his. Security had to throw him out. A DNA test later proved he was not the father. Through all this, my fiancé stood firmly by my side. He has cared for me and my daughters as his own and even promised to secure me a job in the bank where he works after I’m done breastfeeding.
